The American president, whose only term will end in January 2021, would like to create a media rival of Fox News, his favorite television channel which has not, to his taste, not supported him enough since the presidential election of 3 November.

Donald Trump plans to launch his channel on the Internet.

Donald Trump wants Fox News skin.

And the future former American president thinks he has found the best way to do it: to create a rival news channel.

A competing streaming service

The losing candidate would have to choose an online medium, because this solution costs less than to make agreements with the cable operators in the United States.

He could then launch his channel much faster.

A model paying a few dollars a month would also allow him to walk on the beds of Fox Nation, the streaming service of Fox News which costs 6 dollars a month.

Donald Trump has a major asset in his new whim: the data file of his supporters.

They were already receiving emails and text messages from his campaign.

They are all potential subscribers to his future channel.
