I can give African football another image, another vision.

I have 30 years of experience in football and I hope that African countries will be open to my proposals,

”Jacques Anouma said on Friday November 13 in the Radio Foot Internationale program.

Outside his Federation, he has the support of Kenya, Benin and Niger among others.

Already a candidate for the presidency of CAF in 2013 against Issa Hayatou, Jacques Anouma was then prevented from competing.

Three candidates from the same region

Now, with Senegalese

Augustin Senghor

and Mauritanian

Ahmed Yahya

, they are three from the same region to embark on the race for the presidency of CAF.

Now that all the files are filed, we will have to discuss whether we can do otherwise,

" he says, while recalling his legitimacy when he had already wanted to get into this business in 2013 against Issa Ayatou.

We have all made arrangements for our applications to be accepted.

You have to pass the eligibility filter

, ”indicates the one who claims not to be a candidate for a system, but for Côte d'Ivoire.

Jacques Anouma, who does not wish to exercise more than one mandate because of his age (69 years), wants "

to ensure that CAF is a real confederation with everyone around a single project

".

He noted that three candidates came from the current Executive Committee.

Regarding the debate on the CAN every four years (a wish of Fifa), Jacques Anouma said he was in solidarity with the current decision of CAF which maintains the event every two years.

But he admits: “We're

going to have to discuss this again.

This is not a question to be taken lightly and the matter will have to be put back on the table.

I know that Fifa proposes an CAN every four years and we must not close the door to the debate.

Fifa remains a privileged partner

.
