The 2020 edition of the European Night of Museums is cursed.

After being deleted last May, then rescheduled for November 14, it is again canceled due to containment.

To keep it alive despite everything, the Ministry of Culture has decided to turn it into a virtual meeting under the name of # NuitDesMuséesChezNous.

"This digital version of this flagship event of the cultural calendar offered in a digital format, accessible remotely by the general public, will keep the link with the public while promoting places of culture and recalling their essential role, all the more essential in times of crisis ", one can read in a press release.

The Museums Night website lists the digital events offered by museums on the evening of November 14.

These initiatives will be widely relayed on social networks.

Art lovers will therefore not need to leave their homes to enjoy numerous exhibitions in just a few clicks.

In Instagram story, the "Tell me a story" format, a series of short videos, will also give a voice to museum teams, who are invited to tell an anecdote around a work from their collections related to the night.

Due to containment and health measures, museums remain closed for the moment at least until December 1.
