At 17:12 on November 11th, the Tianjin Municipal Health Commission received a report from the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It was discovered in Jinghai District’s work on the detection of new coronavirus nucleic acid for the environment, food, and employees of cold chain production and operation enterprises in the district. A smear sample of halibut outer packaging from Zhenjiequn Aquatic Products Wholesale Store tested positive for nucleic acid.
After review by Tianjin CDC, it was determined to be positive.
At present, Jinghai District has carried out article traceability and storage management and control of the epidemic-related enterprises, and quickly carried out epidemiological investigation, investigation, and disposal.
Nucleic acid tests have been carried out on 59 persons who were exposed to positive specimens, their close contacts and general exposed persons. The 23 persons who have come out have all been negative.
Preliminary traceability investigation results show that this shipment comes from Jinnan District. Jinnan District has tested 45 samples and the results are negative. Related testing is still in progress.
