According to information from the

, the director of the IHU Méditerranée Infection, highly publicized since the start of the coronavirus epidemic, is indeed accused of a series of breaches of the code of ethics as the violation of the brotherhood, the misinformation of the public, or even charlatanism.

These proceedings take place after filing a complaint with the Ordre des médecins des Bouches du Rhône.

Written by the French-language Infectious Pathology Society (SPILF) which has 700 members, it maintains that Didier Raoult is guilty of nine breaches of the code of ethics.

The president of SPILF, Pierre Tattevin, denounces in particular to the

"the obstinacy" of the professor vis-à-vis hydroxychloroquine.

Following this complaint, Didier Raoult was summoned by his peers on October 6.

The latter then met in plenary to vote in favor of the prosecution.

The professor will now have to appear before the disciplinary chamber of the Order of Physicians.

His lawyer Me Fabrice Di Vizio explains to AFP: "All this is not law, but communication".

He believes that the release of his client would be "obvious".
