Are serial killer Michel Fourniret and his ex-wife Monique Olivier involved in other cases?

The national gendarmerie launched on Thursday a call for witnesses in the hope of obtaining new information on "current judicial investigations".

People who have seen them or think they have seen them, “together or separately”, and who are “able to locate the place and the period” are invited to deliver their testimonies to an email address (infos-fourniret@gendarmerie.interieur .gouv.fr) or by dedicated mail (INFOS-FOURNIRET BP 40000 95026 CERGY PONTOISE CEDEX).

"Investigators will be able to verify your information if it seems uncertain to you", explains the gendarmerie, adding that "any information, even trivial, is likely to advance the investigation and help the victims and their families".

Reconstruct "a life course"

The appeal, launched with the agreement of the Parisian examining magistrate Sabine Khéris in charge of these investigations, is accompanied by two series of photos of Michel Fourniret and Monique Olivier, at different periods of their lives.

"It is one more tool to try to reconstruct their life course, as we did with Nordahl Lelandais", indicted for the murder of little Maëlys in 2017 and referred to the assizes for that of Corporal Arthur Noyer the same year, the gendarmerie told AFP.

At the beginning of October, the gendarmerie announced the creation within it of a "cold case division" (DCC) to handle "complex extraordinary criminal cases", in particular "cases of a serial nature", such as those of Michel Fourniret.

The body of Estelle Mouzin still wanted

The serial killer, 78 years old and whose convoluted statements and memory problems complicate the task of investigators, ended up confessing in March his responsibility in the case of Estelle Mouzin, a 9-year-old girl who disappeared in 2003 in Guermantes (Seine et Marne).

He also considered "relevant" the fact that his body could be in one of his former properties in the Ardennes, visited for five days at the end of October with Judge Sabine Khéris, without the serial killer specifying the location.

Michel Fourniret was convicted in 2008 of the murders of seven young women or adolescent girls between 1987 and 2001 and sentenced to irreducible life, before being convicted again in 2018 for a heinous murder.

He is also indicted for the disappearances and death of Marie-Angèle Domece and Joanna Parrish, whom he confessed to Judge Khéris.
