The Franco-Polish director was excluded Tuesday from this very closed circle responsible for making major decisions concerning the operation of the Caesar ceremony.

The director was automatically re-elected last September.

This was the procedure until now, the historic members of the governance were automatically renewed.

Among them: Costa-Gavras, Régis Wargnier, Thomas Langmann or the boss of the César from 2003 to 2020, Alain Terzian.

But they were also excluded Tuesday by the new general assembly.

A new start ?

Decisions that could mark the end of a very complicated year for the Caesars and allow for a real new start.

At the beginning of the year, the lack of transparency denounced by several figures of French cinema, as well as accusations of discrimination, had pushed the entire Academy to resign.
