On November 6, the case of 2 deaths and 4 injuries caused by a woman driving a Maserati while drunk was held at the People's Court of Yongcheng City, Henan Province.
The defendant Tan Mouming was sentenced to life imprisonment and deprived of political rights for life; the defendant Liu Motao was sentenced to three years imprisonment with three years probation; the defendant Zhang Moqu was sentenced to three years imprisonment with three years probation.
On the evening of July 3, 2019, Tan Mouming drunk driving a luxury car behind his BMW, causing the front car to burn, causing 2 deaths and 4 injuries.
Before the incident, Tan Mouming had collided with multiple cars and was besieged by the crowd. Liu Motao and Zhang Moqu, who were in the same vehicle, instigated him to escape by driving.
On January 16, 2020, the case was heard in Yongcheng People's Court.
The defendant Tan Mouming looked back on the course of the case and expressed regret in tears with emotion.
