Cancellations keep falling.

After that of Nantes and Le Mans, it is the Christmas market in Angers which has borne the brunt of the health constraints linked to the Covid-19 epidemic.

In a statement, the city announced Thursday that the chalets will not be installed as usual on the Place du Ralliement, from November 27.

In fact, the whole Winter Suns event is going to be revamped.

This year, you won't have to rely on the Ferris wheel in the Jardin du Mail, nor on the Pomme merry-go-round in place Lorraine or on the Carrousel in place du Ralliement.

The Bellefontaine park circus is also canceled.

The town hall hopes to be able to maintain some wanderings, in particular those of Santa Claus, after negotiations with the prefecture.

The Angevins will still be able to admire the decorations on their windows, and listen to the “sound animations”.
