They were to be held from July 10 to 15, 2020 in Brest but had been postponed due to the health situation.

Bringing together more than a thousand boats from all over the world and more than 700,000 visitors every four years, the international maritime festivals in Brest will not take place in 2021 either. The board of directors of Brest Evénement Nautiques decided on Thursday to postpone the next edition of the holidays for two years due to uncertainties linked to the coronavirus pandemic.

The international maritime festivals in Brest will not take place in 2021, due to uncertainties related to the # Covid19 health context.

"With the uncertainties and the lack of visibility that we all suffer, we would have taken too great a risk of a new cancellation thus compromising the credibility and therefore the sustainability of the maritime festivals", indicated François Cuillandre, mayor of Brest and president of Brest Nautical Events in a press release.

The maritime festivals will therefore not take over next summer from the great start of the Tour de France which will start from the city of Ponant on June 26.
