Bilal Hassani's new album, "Contre-soir", was released on the night of Thursday, November 6.

The singer, who became known by representing France at Eurovision Song Contest, was the guest of Philippe Vandel in "Culture-Media", on Europe 1. He looks back on his journey marked by the harassment of which he was the victim and on the design of this new album.

The singer Bilal Hassani released on the night of Thursday 5 to Friday 6 November his second album "Contre-soir".

He confides his doubts, his wounds but also his craziest dreams at the microphone of Philippe Vandel, in

Culture-Médias

, on Europe 1. In this new album, presented Thursday evening live on his Youtube channel in front of nearly 40,000 Internet users, Bilal Hassani confides in particular on the school bullying he experienced in his childhood.

Its title "Tom" tells the story of a secret boy, who does not speak, who is "the type to hide since a kid".

This boy is "a little" of him and "a lot" of his fans, he explains.

"They made comments to me, they pushed me around"

At the microphone of Europe 1, he confides in the harassment he suffered, in part due to his homosexuality.

It “unfortunately started much too early, before I could realize what homosexuality was, I was going through what will be called 'micro-aggressions', remarks, I was being pushed around etc. J 'was in elementary school and I was already getting remarks like' why do you act like that ',' do you like boys? ', questions that I couldn't answer at all "

Already last September, he had proposed on LCI to carry out a mission against school bullying in high schools, since he was a victim.

He has, however, "not yet" been contacted by the Ministry of National Education.

"We are waiting for them," he breathes.

Victim of harassment on social networks

The album also discusses success and the complications that can come with it.

Bilal Hassani explains what prompted him to write the song papa-mama, on the fear of dying: "In this song I am talking about these worries, these moments of great panic, of fear".

It must be said that the singer fought against racist and homophobic harassment, of which he is a victim on social networks.

Last year, he lodged a complaint against X for insults, incitement to hatred, call for violence, homophobic threats.

But today, Bilal Hassani appears more serene on this story.

"It was no use so now I would rather ignore than keep fighting," he explains.

A duet with Zahia

In the counter-evening album, it is also possible to discover a more playful side of the singer.

Zahia Dehar's voice opens the album and invites the listener on a "journey towards this evening".

The album was invented "in a dream in New York", recounts Bilal Hassani, "I was having a slightly psychedelic party, with aliens and there was a lot going on! It's the story of a huge party where I go through a lot of emotions, sensations, that I meet and break up ".

An original album, for sure, the release of which was among the most commented subjects on Twitter, all night long in France.
