Al Suwaidi also stressed that many major initiatives and events have been launched to enhance Dubai's position and its strategic role in developing these sectors regionally, considering that the launch of Dubai Media City was a gateway to launch more specialized complexes to support the media, content and film industry, explaining that the three cities are «Dubai Media, Dubai Studios and Dubai Productions constitute a center for the film and cinema industries.

Dubai Media City has achieved an important position in the world of journalism and broadcast and visual media over the years, starting with its first launch 20 years ago, and within two decades it managed to be the headquarters of many local, Arab and international media outlets in the Middle East.

It also constituted a prelude to building three media-focused complexes, followed by Dubai Production City and Dubai Studio City, all of which formed a business environment that included 3,000 companies and 30,000 professionals.

It also formed the headquarters of 122 television and radio channels, broadcasting news and entertainment programs to millions of people in dozens of languages, including Arabic, English, Chinese, German, Tagalog, Hindi and Urdu, in addition to hundreds of printed publications and electronic platforms in several languages, for readers from all over the world to enjoy.
