A British couple can thank their lucky stars after finding in a garage full of garbage bags left by a neighbor a real treasure of

toys

, worth 443,000 euros.

The couple, who live in Stourbridge in central England, were initially unsure of what to do with the pile of dolls and spaceships their neighbor had amassed for decades, according to

It was their son who was surprised to discover the value of the set when he called on an auctioneer to estimate the collection, which included figurines still in their original packaging.

"Many were slightly damp, due to the way they had been stored but this is the finest collection of Star Wars objects I have seen," an expert from Aston's assured. Auctionneers.

Among the items for sale was a commander of Star Destroyer, one of the ships of the Galactic Empire fleet, one of only two known copies still in its original packaging, sold for 36,000 euros.
