She also mentioned that the "Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Formulating the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Term Goals for 2035" indicated that it supports Hong Kong and Macao to better integrate into the overall development of the country and to build Guangdong with high quality.   Carrie Lam expressed the hope that Hong Kong will gain further support from the central government in consolidating its position as an international financial, shipping, trade center and international aviation hub, building an international technological innovation center and facilitating the free circulation of production factors in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

  Carrie Lam also met with relevant officials from the China Securities Regulatory Commission and the National Health Commission.

During a meeting with SFC Chairman Yi Huiman, Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said that the financial regulators of the Mainland and Hong Kong have continuously strengthened their collaboration in recent years to facilitate the interconnection of the capital markets of the two places and consolidate and enhance Hong Kong's status as an international financial center.

She expects the SFC to continue to support the development of Hong Kong's financial industry, including the launch of more financial products in Hong Kong and the expansion of the coverage of various interconnection plans.

  When Lin Zhengyue-e met with Ma Xiaowei, director of the National Health Commission, she thanked the National Health Commission for supporting Hong Kong in fighting the epidemic.

She said that although sporadic local cases are expected in the future, the overall epidemic situation in Hong Kong tends to stabilize. She hopes that the cross-border flow of people between the Mainland and Hong Kong can be gradually and orderly restored as soon as possible to meet the needs of residents and economic activities in the two places.
