What is Europe doing to fight against large criminal and terrorist organizations?

The European police office Europol, headed by Belgian Catherine De Bolle, is the EU's crime control agency.
Created in 1999, located in The Hague, the Netherlands, and with a budget of more than 110 million euros (2017), this agency's mission is to support and even coordinate law enforcement operations in the field, in particular by exchanging information on criminal activities between States.

It also represents a center of expertise in law enforcement, with a hundred analysts, according to the official website of the European Union.
This agency can also centralize European and even international investigations.
This agency is also successful in fiction, with mentions in the popular series "La Casa de Papel", or the film Ocean's Twelve.
