Starting with the deaths: 70 people died of the disease in one week in the region.

Maine-et-Loire (28 additional deaths) and Loire-Atlantique (25 additional deaths) pay the heaviest price.

Coronavirus-related hospitalizations also climbed 34% in one week (800 patients being hospitalized on Tuesday).

The number of patients in intensive care increases by 65% ​​(116 resuscitations on Tuesday).

Here again, these patients are mainly from Maine-et-Loire and Loire-Atlantique.

Worrisome situation in Angers and Cholet

As for the incidence rate of Covid-19, which makes it possible to assess the number of new infections in relation to the population, it continues to increase in Pays-de-la-Loire to now reach 314 per 100,000 inhabitants.

It was only 250 the week before.

It is in the Angevin metropolis (486) and that of Cholet (447) that the virus circulation is most active.

In metropolitan Nantes, the incidence rate is 380. The national incidence rate, for its part, peaks at 431 per 100,000 inhabitants.
