Chinanews.com, Beijing, November 3 (Reporter Yu Lixiao) "Beijing Municipal Domestic Waste Management Regulations" (referred to as "Regulations") have been implemented for half a year, and the amount of food waste in households has increased by 11.7 times. The harmless treatment rate of garbage reaches 100%.

This is what the reporter learned from the half-year press conference on the implementation of the "Regulations" on the 3rd.

Beijing domestic waste is divided into four categories: kitchen waste, recyclable waste, hazardous waste, and other waste.

Among them, kitchen waste is the difficulty in the promotion of domestic waste classification and the focus of waste reduction.

According to Li Rugang, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Management Committee, since the implementation of the Regulations on May 1, the amount of household kitchen waste separation has increased significantly, from 309 tons per day before the implementation of the Regulations to In October, 3946 tons/day, an increase of 11.7 times; the separation rate of kitchen waste reached 19.79%.

With the addition of 1,857 tons of food waste per day in catering service units, the total amount of food waste separated has reached 5803 tons per day.

At the same time, the amount of "other garbage" has been reduced significantly. Through the source classification of kitchen waste and recyclables and the reduction measures at the source, the amount of domestic garbage that enters the end treatment facility, that is, the amount of other garbage is 16,000 tons per day. , A year-on-year decrease of 32%.

Li Rugang said that at present, the city's domestic waste treatment rate is maintained at 100%, domestic waste should be collected, standardized transportation, and all harmless treatments are carried out.

Since the implementation of the Regulations for half a year, the compliance rate of waste sorting facilities has increased rapidly.

916 classified stations were newly built and transformed, 61,400 groups of classified barrel stations were upgraded and 567 closed-type cleaning stations were upgraded, and 2,482 spraying collection and transportation vehicles were standardized.

The compliance rate of barrel stations, closed cleaning stations, and collection vehicles rose from 7% in May to 84%.

The standardized collection and transportation system for domestic waste in Beijing continued to improve.

The collection and transportation system for kitchen waste and other garbage is stable and effective; the collection and transportation system for recyclables, bulky garbage, and decoration garbage is gradually promoted; measures are taken to local conditions to promote the establishment of an effective operation mode for various types of garbage; sort out and improve basic management accounts, and promote the construction of information systems , Realize refined management.

According to Zhao Jigui, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, since the implementation of the Regulations on May 1, the participation rate of residents in garbage classification has gradually increased.

However, the enthusiasm of some residents to participate in the classification of domestic waste is not high enough, and the habit of conscious classification at the front end of the family has not been developed.

In the next step, Beijing will study and formulate incentives for residents' participation in waste sorting points to exchange for physical objects, and study and formulate measures such as community exposure and blacklisting for those who are not classified, randomly placed, or not corrected after repeated dissuasion.

At the same time, strengthen the linkage between the community and the street urban management law enforcement department, promote law enforcement into the community, and support the community's garbage classification.

Six months after the implementation of the "Regulations", the Beijing Municipal Urban Management Law Enforcement Department has carried out multiple waves of special enforcement actions on domestic waste classification. From May 1 to October 31, a total of 436,500 domestic waste classification entities were inspected and problems were found. 17.2 million cases, with a problem rate of 3.94%; 27081 cases of illegal activities involving domestic waste were investigated and dealt with.

Among them, 11,241 cases of violations of household waste classification were investigated and dealt with in accordance with the Regulations.
