A study in Boston: Grocery store workers are more vulnerable to infection and spreading the Coronavirus

A new study found that workers in grocery stores are 20 times more likely to contract the Coronavirus than the general population, according to the British "Daily Mail" website.

The researchers found an infection rate of 20 percent, compared to a rate of 1.3 percent in the rest of the community, in a store in Boston, USA.

Most of the staff showed no symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath.

Moreover, those who dealt directly with clients, such as cashiers, were five times more likely to be infected than those who worked in other departments.

The team, from the Th Chan School of Public Health at Harvard University, says the results indicate that these workers could be super-spreaders of infection without knowing it.
