Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault almost lost their Californian vineyard to the fires that broke out in the Los Angeles area earlier this week.

In a recent Instagram post, the actress posted a series of snaps showing how the flames approached the vines until the firefighters intervened.

Of course, the couple are infinitely grateful to the fire soldiers.

“We have a vineyard in Napa, and while most of the fires are now under control, I can't help but feel immense gratitude to everyone who stepped in to save so many people as well as animals and property. .

In our case, we are especially grateful to the 9271C response team ”, wrote Salma Hayek before listing the numbers of the squads that intervened near the vineyard.

Fires quickly under control

Last Monday, a brush fire dubbed "Silverado Fire" caught the residents of Irvine, a town near Los Angeles, by surprise.

The authorities had no other choice but to evacuate the some 60,000 inhabitants present in the districts most threatened by flames fanned by winds blowing at more than 100 km / h.

The firefighters finally managed to control the fires the next day, once the wind died down.
