At the end of the qualifying round, which was organized in the Global Village in Dubai, last weekend, 16 of the 150 participants qualified for the 21st edition of the Fazza Championship for Yola and the 16th edition of the Field Program.
The qualifying round witnessed the participation of a large number of different nationalities and age groups who presented distinguished performances, reflecting the great desire they have for their presence in the main challenge this season, and the pursuit of winning the Fazza Gold Cup.

The CEO of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage, Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk, who headed the arbitration committee, which also included Rashid Al Khasouni, confirmed that “the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, to make the event more comprehensive, and to ensure that Consolidating the popular heritage stemming from the national identity among the participating youth, which contributed to raising the intensity of the competition, and making the applicants ready and preparing for more than just displaying with conventional weapons, especially since the superiority in the end will be for the general performance of the participant in five main categories with the abolition of voting.
He explained that “Al-Yawla is still the main element in the competitions, but in this version there will be five challenges in which the participant gets a percentage of his mark from the general total, through a literary and cultural competition in which poetry is recited, and a heritage sports competition for direct shooting on the field using An air rifle (barreled) to drop the dishes as quickly as possible, and two indirect competitions outside the field related to the heritage, namely the horse and camel races, as the participants will be trained by an elite of horse trainers and stables trainers, and of course the fifth challenge represented in Al-Yolla on the field stage.

For his part, Maktoum Al Mansoori (16 years), the participant from Dubai, expressed his happiness to return again to the championship competitions after his first attempt in the last edition.
He said, "I changed the earthly yawla based on the advice of the jury, and turned into a state of attachment that whenever I found time at home I would practice it. Perhaps meeting my friends here in the beautiful festive atmosphere makes us feel more attached to it."
