On October 31, the "Yantai Release" official Weibo issued a notice stating that on the afternoon of October 29, Yantai received a letter from a non-local city to inform that it was found that a sample of imported frozen pork from an enterprise in its jurisdiction tested positive for new coronavirus nucleic acid. Qixia Mingyi Food Co., Ltd. purchased it from a foreign port.
After receiving the information for the assistance investigation, the Yantai Municipal Party Committee Headquarters Office immediately activated the emergency response mechanism to comprehensively organize product traceability and personnel investigation and testing.
After two consecutive days and nights of emergency response work on the evening of the 29th to the 30th, the flow of 1,475 pieces of 26.978 tons of products has been investigated and traced to specific dealers, restaurants, and retail stores.
A total of 3097 samples of personnel, products, external packaging, and external environment were collected. The nucleic acid test results were all negative, and no positive cases were found.

On the 31st, the official Weibo of "Anqiu Release" also announced the "influx of positive frozen pork from other places", stating that a batch of cold-chain food imported from Brazil in the outer packaging of frozen pork from Brazil tested positive for nucleic acid, and 15 of them flowed into Anqiu Xin A certain meat wholesale and retail center store in the cattle market.
At present, all pork business operators, external packaging waste purchasers, logistics and transportation personnel and their families, all market personnel, and external environmental samples have been tested for nucleic acid and serum samples, and the results are all negative.
So far, Rushan, Yantai, Wendeng, and Anqiu in Shandong have released news about pork with a positive nucleic acid test on the outer packaging.
