Many social networks relay the legend of a haunted house.

Will Halloween party wake up the specters?

20 Minutes

asked Bertrand Bosio for his opinion, a Northerner passionate about the supernatural.

"It is true that the fascinating look of this house contributes to its reputation", confirms this former worker who today writes books on fantastic places.

Based in Condé-sur-l'Escaut, near Valenciennes, he regularly organizes visits to haunted places in the region, thus offering another vision of heritage.

Built on the foundations of a former military fort

"The region offers many unusual places linked to legends," explains Bertrand Bosio, who has visited the Hoymille house on numerous occasions.

"It was visited a lot, especially by paranormal specialists before a gate prohibited entry," he says.

It is an imposing mansion, built in the 1930s on the foundations of a former military fort.

Bertrand Bosio is passionate about paranormal phenomena.

Sold in 1992, it has remained uninhabited ever since.

In 2013,

La Voix du Nord

announced that it had to be shaved.

Seven years later, she is still standing.

“A local resident told me that a crane track broke during the work.

It's a classic pattern.

The house was doomed to be destroyed and the appliances broke down when the demolition was to begin.

As if the house was defending itself.

This phenomenon forged a reputation for haunting.

"

"No one had died inside this house"

Reputation whose origins are difficult to trace, according to Bertrand Bosio.

“They say a young girl died there.

I had the opportunity to question the grandson of the former owners, who assured me that no one had died inside this house ”.

So ?

"There are a lot of houses that are reputed to be haunted, but very few where paranormal investigators find any clues," warns Bertrand Bosio.

Hoymille is however one of three or four where there could be supernatural presences, as reported by testimonies collected by investigators such as Philippe Crétal.

But we have to be careful.

We stay in the conditional.
