According to previous reports, on October 24, 1993, two boys from a village in Fenghuang Township, Jinxian County, Jiangxi Province disappeared.

29 days after his acquittal, Zhang Yuhuan submitted an application for state compensation totaling more than 22.34 million yuan (RMB, the same below) to the Jiangxi Higher Court.
