[Explanation] On October 28, in the Xiabu textile workshop in Rongchang, Chongqing, the workers started with hemp stalks, soaking, beating hemp, reeding, sizing, and weaving workers unwrapped a sack of hemp, and then put a piece of hemp. The pieces of hemp are split into hemp threads, a few hemp threads are twisted into hemp threads, and then rolled into small clusters like cocoon-like yarn.
After that, after threading, reeding, brushing, and drying, we can weave.
The tool for weaving is a shuttle. Workers use foot and waist movements to swing the healds on the loom. The shuttle passes back and forth in both hands to spin a one-foot summer cloth.

Because hemp is warm in winter and cool in summer, it is popular with people because of its ventilated and breathable characteristics. However, its production method has not changed for thousands of years. It still relies on pure handwork. The low output of summer cloth and the emergence of new fabrics have led to the use of only life clothing. Xia Bu gradually faded out of people's vision.
In recent years, Chinese people have begun to attach importance to traditional culture, and the demand for rare and precious summer cloth has begun to rise again.

Nowadays, through deep processing, Xia cloth is not only applied to life apparel, but also widely used in cultural and creative products and household goods.
She said that Xiabu cannot only rely on selling feelings to gain audiences. Only by deriving Xiabu development and endowing Xiabu with multi-element applications, making Xiabu a mature and beautiful product, so that the Xiabu, which has been passed down through thousands of years of history, can be renewed. vitality.
