On October 28, when the reporter came to the Zhaotun Village Primary School where Zhang Dong was teaching, the only three students in the school were taking Zhang Dong's music class.
Zhang Dong said that three years ago, there were more than 10 students in the school, but as the villagers moved away, only these three students are now studying.
Professor Zhang Dong taught them to learn the tone piano. Although the children were very shy, they were gradually able to play rhythmic tunes under the patience of the teacher.
Zhang Dong told reporters that the three primary schools, including Zhaotun Village Primary School, have offered music classes with different characteristics.
She will let the children play different instruments and sing different songs according to the advantages and strengths of the school and the students.
