On the 29th, MBN President Seung-Jun Jang announced on the 29th that he would take responsibility for the illegal capital issue and resign when the comprehensive programming channel was launched.

MBN issued an apology to the public on the same day, saying, "I bow my head and apologize to the public."

MBN said, "I deeply reflect on the occurrence of such a thing at a broadcaster that takes publicity as life, and sincerely apologize to the people who have loved MBN in the meantime," said "CEO Jang will take responsibility for this and withdraw from management." I did.

He added, "We will make sure that this does not happen again, and we promise to be reborn as a broadcaster loved by the people through our efforts to cut bones."

This action appears to be due to observations that the Korea Communications Commission will soon announce whether MBN will be re-approved, and that it will be punished for illegal capital issues.

In the industry, predictions are dominant as to whether a minimum suspension will be issued.

Progressive civic groups are urging to cancel approval.

Broadcasting Independent Citizen Action is also scheduled to hold a press conference in front of the Korea Communications Commission on the 30th.

Meanwhile, the MBN branch of the National Media Workers' Union made a statement on this day regarding the resignation of President Jang and said, "Chairman Jang's resignation is late, but it is a natural step and will be the starting point for MBN reform."

He then emphasized that "the labor and management must gather wisdom together by creating an emergency countermeasure committee for management innovation as soon as possible."

The union also ended the one-man protest in about two months, urging the management to resign.
