One week ago, the government announced that the audience limit would be raised to 300 people, but as of today, stricter restrictions will be introduced in the counties of Stockholm, Västa Götaland and Östergötland.

The Swedish Public Health Agency urges the public to refrain from participating in concerts, performances, sports training, matches and competitions.

- At Dramaten we were insanely happy last week with the new 300 limit, we looked forward to finally being able to meet the audience again, says Mattias Andersson, theater director and artistic director of Dramaten, who points out that he is mainly worried about society - and says that one must be humble in the face of the situation in the world.

Great administrative effort

He believes that the business is taking a beating from the many messages that come about restrictions.

- It really consumes all employees at Dramaten to repeatedly adjust to something and then the carpet is pulled away again.

Now a major administrative effort awaits to redeem and return money for last week's tickets sold ahead of the new limit of 300 people in the audience.

50 limits continue to apply

The limit of a maximum of 50 people in the audience continues to apply in Västra Götaland.

The same applies in Östergötland and Stockholm County announces that they intend to do the same.

It is already clear that the regions of Uppsala and Skåne will retain their 50 borders.

Joppe Pihlgren, CEO of Svensk Live, has respect for the decision and understands the seriousness of the situation, but believes that it is still possible to carry out arrangements while maintaining security.

- We see that organizers are prepared to receive audiences and have methods to make it as safe as possible.

We will have a meeting with representatives of the government on November 4 on how we can handle this, he says to TT.
