In statements to the episode (10/28/2020) of the "Beyond the News" program, he added that choosing the time before the US elections is not innocent, but rather a systematic policy to consecrate the US-Israeli partnership in the occupation of Palestinian lands.

He added that today's agreement belies the claim of the printed Arab states with Israel to stop settlement activity, and that the Palestinian leadership called for an international conference for peace.

He indicated that the Palestinians must work quickly to unify their internal home in order to confront this transgression, according to him, and called on the Arab countries that have finally been printed with Israel to retreat from scrambling to the occupation, cancel these agreements, and stand with the Palestinians in restoring their rights.

The United States had announced the abolition of the ban on investing US government organizations and funds in Israeli settlements in the West Bank and the Golan Heights.

The Palestinian presidency condemned the move and considered it an American participation in the occupation, while Hamas said that the decision reveals the misleading of the countries that printed with Israel under the pretext of stopping the annexation plan.

On the other hand, Matthew Brodsky - a member of US President Donald Trump's peace team - said that the abolition of the ban on American investments in Israeli settlements was based on the agreements signed between America and Israel in the past, and the modernization of US foreign policy during the Trump era.

He added that the administration of former President Barack Obama was dealing with this file in a completely different way from the way President Trump deals with it, and that is why we have seen remarkable progress in the peace process with a number of countries without waiting for the Palestinians who reject peace.

He added that it is too early to talk about whether Washington supports the construction of new settlements in the West Bank, but he hopes to see that, noting that the American decision will benefit the Palestinians economically through their work in Israeli construction.
