Thousands of miles of job hunting encountered "goose plucking hair"

The 21-year-old Wang Yu (pseudonym) never expected that the high-paying job he dreamed of was a well-designed scam.

On the afternoon of June 1, Wang Yu saw a logistics company recruiting logistics specialists on BOSS’s direct employment. The job content is mainly to do logistics documentary and distribution. Long-term business trips are required. The basic salary is 6,000 yuan for short distances and 8,000 yuan for long distances, plus 100 per day. -200 yuan subsidy, monthly salary can reach about 10,000 yuan.

Wang Yu submitted his resume, and a person named "Director Huang of the Personnel Department" on WeChat contacted him and introduced the salary and work process requirements.

The other party also told him that the company's headquarters was in Zhengzhou and he was going to Zhengzhou for an interview.

Despite the long journey, he was attracted by the high salary.

What Wang Yu did not expect was that this job with a monthly salary of 10,000 yuan was actually an ordinary hourly worker in the production line of an electronics factory. He paid long-distance travel expenses and entry deposit, not to mention, he got up early and worked in the dark for a month, and he only got a salary of 830 yuan.

In June of this year, the Suzhou Wujiang police seized this criminal gang that tricked candidates into long-distance interviews and defrauded money in the name of false recruitment, involving 134 victims and involving more than 400,000 yuan.

The trap behind the high salary

In June, when the Wujiang police handled a website suspected of illegal use of Internet information, they discovered that a man named "Shan Pengfei" had purchased the website's related software to produce fake certificates. The company's business is a recruitment agency, and the police investigated and judged that the company may be suspected of using fake certificates to defraud.

On June 23, when the police rushed to the company's office, they saw that the 80 square meter studio was divided into dense grids, and more than 20 suspects were busy operating at their respective workstations.

The police found that the company obtained the recruitment platform account by producing fake certificates and other means, and the salesperson issued false recruitment information, and used words to induce candidates to interview in Zhengzhou. During the interview, they defrauded the candidates for money in the name of paying the cost.

The suspect Shan Mofei introduced that in March of this year, he had been unemployed and joined the CDB Enterprise Service Company under the introduction of a friend. Because of his work experience in human resources, he served as a manager and was responsible for the daily attendance and system management of the sales staff of the entire company. .

Shan Moufei purchased software to produce fake business licenses, registered 58.com, Ganji, Zhaolian Recruitment, BOSS Direct Recruitment and other well-known recruitment website accounts, and released recruitment information according to the template given by the boss, mainly logistics specialists, forklift workers, electricians, etc. position.

In fact, they did not provide the capacity for such positions.

The post stated in the post that you can get a salary of about 10,000 yuan after working 20 days a month is also false. The purpose is to attract job seekers to apply.

After the job applicant submits the resume, the website will automatically send the resume to the company mailbox.

The company's salesperson pretended to be a staff member of the recruiting company and contacted them, using a template prepared by the boss to induce them to go to Zhengzhou for an interview.

Layers of job hunting traps

The State Development Enterprise Service Company started as an intermediary company in Wujiang that did formal labor dispatch.

The suspect Chen introduced that at the end of April this year, the boss said that the situation was not good and many of the workers recruited for the company had resigned and the company could not make any money.

In order to increase income for everyone, it is necessary to transform into new business.

The company specializes in renting an interview site in Zhengzhou, which is supervised by another executive Qiao.

On May 29th, they successfully implemented the first "business".

In order to dispel the victim's doubts and unify the caliber, the company has formulated a set of speech skills templates, and all salesmen must undergo speech skills training before starting their jobs.

You Hongsheng, the post prosecutor of the First Procuratorate of the Wujiang District People's Procuratorate of Suzhou City, said that before the victim arrived in Zhengzhou for an interview, the suspect only introduced the salary, work process and job requirements, and never submitted money.

Under the guidance of a whole set of speech skills, the victim will eventually pay the money obediently and enter the core link of the whole fraud case-paying fees to "get on duty".

After passing the “interview” in Zhengzhou, the suspect will charge a “cost” of about 1,800 yuan based on the victim’s financial status to apply for the logistics documentary certificate and escort certificate, and the company will reimburse it after the internship period expires.

But in fact, this is just a reason to swindle money, and it will not be handled by the victim at all.

After the victim signed and paid the money, he was assigned to work as an ordinary production line worker in an electronic factory in various places, and was told that after the one-month "internship" expired, he could apply for transfer to a logistics company as a merchandiser.

The real purpose is to earn more rebates from the electronics factory, and the company actually has no ability to arrange the transfer of these people.

After the "internship" expired, the victim was unable to transfer jobs successfully, and he became dissatisfied and even discovered that he was cheated to request a refund. The company dragged on for various reasons.

In order to prevent the victims from calling the police, the company will refund some money based on their toughness.

When will the chaos end

"Looking back at this case, in fact, the scams are not very clever, they are nothing more than old routines of concealing, coaxing, procrastinating, and suppressing." You Hongsheng said that the suspect set the "company headquarters" in Zhengzhou, more than 800 kilometers away from Wujiang, in order to consolidate the fraud results Even if most of the victims find that they have been deceived, considering the long distance and the high cost of defending their rights, they are all alone, and no one takes the initiative to report the crime.

If it weren't for the police discovery, this fraud scenario would continue.

In recent years, especially this year, affected by the epidemic, workers have faced difficulties such as waiting for jobs, unemployment, and reduced income. They urgently need to find new jobs. This has given some scammers an opportunity.

As job search channels become more abundant and convenient, job seekers have more choices, but there are also more risks.

According to Yao Jiecheng, director of the First Procuratorate of the People's Procuratorate of Wujiang District, Suzhou, fraud crimes are almost everywhere in all aspects of job hunting.

Some small companies or scam companies use similar characters and homophones to confuse the audience, write the company name similar to the name of a regular, well-known large company in the recruitment information, and even forge the official website, page and The official company website is exactly the same, and the website is very similar.

Some are "high salary temptation" and "acquaintance introduction", using high wages, low requirements, and reliable acquaintances as "bait" to lure young people with inexperienced society to apply.

Others are "fake interviews" and "paid entry". After the so-called interviews, fake contracts are fabricated to gain the trust of the victims, and finally the victims are required to pay for transfers on the grounds that the entry needs to pay various fees.

During the epidemic, there were even requests for remote telephone interviews or deposits to retain positions on the grounds of "special periods".

Yao Jiecheng said that if the company recruits talents without any requirements for job seekers, there must be pitfalls.

"Actually, if job seekers are more mindful and verify by other means, the lies of the scammers will be self-defeating. For example, collecting the background information of the employer, verifying the business license of the recruiting company, and verifying whether the fees are charged during the application process Compliance is legal, etc."

Yao Jiecheng suggested that you should maintain a good attitude when seeking a job, be truth-seeking, pragmatic, down-to-earth, choose industries and positions based on your actual situation, and do not believe in so-called high-paying occupations.

Once you find that you have been cheated, you must actively protect your legitimate rights and interests, negotiate with the employer, and if you cannot communicate to solve the problem, you must report to the police in time to protect yourself and prevent more job applicants from being cheated.

In addition, the information published by regular large-scale recruitment websites will make victims relax their vigilance to a certain extent.

In recent years, such websites have repeatedly "exploded with thunder," some leaking job applicants' information, and some publishing false recruitment information to commit fraud.

"This also reveals that the review procedures of such websites are too simple and arbitrary, and cannot play a role in filtering false information and protect the rights and interests of job applicants. Many recruitment websites can publish recruitment information without verification or only simple verification. This is not only technical Loopholes are also management loopholes.” You Hongsheng suggested that recruitment websites should upgrade their technical methods, strictly review, strengthen supervision, rectify chaos in the industry, and avoid adverse effects on economic and social development.
