The project's network collection operation seized more than 500 tons of oil products suspected of smuggling, and successfully destroyed a product oil smuggling group that had been active in the Pearl River Estuary for a long time.

  It is understood that the smuggling network established by the gang is complete, using small ships to smuggle refined oil products around non-customs locations, and then sell them to 5 provinces and 14 cities in mainland China after being decolorized in Dongguan and other places.

After preliminary verification, the smuggling group was suspected of smuggling more than 40,000 tons of refined oil since 2019, the value of the case involved was about 300 million yuan, and the suspected tax evasion exceeded 100 million yuan.

  In this operation, the Guangdong Maritime Police Bureau and others jointly dispatched more than 600 law enforcement officers and divided them into more than 50 operation teams to arrest. 35 suspects were arrested at the scene, and more than 500 tons of refined oil and 3 vessels suspected of smuggling were seized on the spot. Ships, 8 oil tankers and 3 illegal decoloring oil spots, seized a batch of oil pumping equipment, decoloring equipment and related certificates.
