The death toll from the A7 accident grew after the death of a sixth person.

The accident had created great emotion.

On July 20, five children from two families in Vénissieux were killed in a road accident on the A7 motorway in the Drôme.

The small victims, aged 3 to 14, were killed instantly.

And four other people were injured including the two mothers (two sisters), seriously burned.

Sunday, the toll grew heavier.

One of the two women died, says Azzedine Gacci, rector of the Villeurbanne mosque.

The Valence prosecutor's office had announced that this tragic accident was caused by the breakdown of the vehicle's turbo.

What had caused a runaway engine then its conflagration.

One of the fathers, who drove the minivan, had been unable to brake and shut off the engine.

The minivan caught fire before exiting the road then several barrels in a field near the town of Albon.
