For a long time, in the West, the arts of Africa have been black or at least seen as monochrome.
An image inherited from avant-garde artists who were among the first to be interested in it at the beginning of the 20th century.
A deceptive image, however.
This is the story of a mistake, which the exhibition "Une Afrique en couleurs" tells us, to be seen at the Musée des Confluences in Lyon until August 22, 2021.
