A series of sessions witnessed the conclusion of the third session of the National Youth Media Program, which was organized by the Dubai Press Club and the Watani Al Emarat Foundation, over a period of three continuous weeks.

The sessions that were organized remotely discussed the future of the radio and television sector, and the extent of the impact of modern communication technology on the speed of growth of the two sectors, compared to the great speed with which Internet services are growing and developing, and they dealt with many axes related to the development and future of two media sectors, in which young people aspire to work in their various fields, In order to increase the experience of the program’s members and enhance their professional opportunities through rich content presented by prominent media professionals and experts belonging to local, regional and international media organizations.

The director of the Dubai Press Club, Maitha Buhumaid, said, “The future of radio and television is one of the most influential and desirable media sectors for young people, as it has witnessed many rapid changes over the past five years, and the Dubai Press Club, in turn, places all these variables between The hands of young people, through the National Youth Media Program, and other ambitious programs, so that they can read the new needs of the media job market, and correct their choices towards future specializations, towards which the global media is heading.

Buhumaid added that the series of interactive sessions, which shed light on the television and radio sectors, with the participation of a group of media professionals in the Arab region, comes within the framework of the club's continued interest in contributing positively to the development of the media work system locally and in the Arab world, whether through its qualitative initiatives, which have had an impact. In shaping the features of the media and journalism work in the region, or through training programs, which established a vital bridge for communication between young students of media faculties, media talents and Arab press institutions, with the aim of consolidating the positive role of the media in the region, and providing it with creative young energies through high-class programs Of the specialty.

In a session entitled: “New Media Trends in the Region”, the General Manager of MBC Channels, Ali Jaber, discussed the growing presence and influence of digital platforms, which are now strongly imposing themselves in the media field, pointing out the need to study young media professionals about the rapid changes it is witnessing. The television sector, as a media, and how to keep pace with it, as it represents basic indicators of labor market requirements and future opportunities available in one of the most important media sectors.

Jaber reviewed the new form of television, considering that it will be limited to entertainment and talent programs, given its proximity to the family atmosphere.

Regarding the drama sector, he referred to the migration of his followers to digital platforms, such as: "Watch", "Netflix", and other platforms that have become acquiring large viewing shares in the Arab region, especially among young people who prefer freedom from "the restrictions of time and space." »In everything he follows.

In a session entitled "A New Path in the Media", the journalist Nadim Qutaish presented, based on his experience, a new concept for preparing television programs and creating content with an innovative vision in a modern form that keeps pace with the changes on the scene.

In the "Media Presence in Visual and Interactive Media" session, writer and political analyst Abdullah Junaid spoke about the critical thinking skills needed for future youth, the most important tools for developing media capabilities and the language of public speaking.

Among the sessions included in the National Youth Media Program, to shed light on some inspiring media experiences, journalist Moataz Al-Demerdash presented his story with the media, and the broad lines from which he started at the beginning of his career, leading to the stardom of the Arab screen, as he shared with the program’s members how to create passion, And the influence on those who watch, read, or follow.

Wael Habbal, sound engineer and voiceover coach at MBC Group, shed light on the fundamentals of focus and voiceover, the difference between them, the appropriate use of sound material, text reading skills, and how to deal with it, in addition to the basic steps for analyzing any text.
