Labor Minister Elisabeth Borne said she was satisfied on Monday with the health protocol put in place against the epidemic in companies.

She considers it "effective" and "very well applied".

"We want to avoid a general reconfinement, in any case we want to find a good balance between the health of the French and the pursuit of economic, educational and cultural activity", insisted the minister interviewed on LCI.

At least two days of teleworking for 30% of employees

The protocol to prevent the spread of the virus (barrier gestures, systematic masks in shared workspaces, teleworking) "is effective", she underlined, insofar as "all the companies which apply it say that" there is no chain of contamination ”.

It also praised its rigorous application since out of "55,000 interventions by the labor inspectorate since deconfinement, we have only had a little over 300 formal notices".

"The situation is worrying," acknowledged Elisabeth Borne who also indicated that teleworking was encouraged.

In September, 12% of working hours were teleworked, “which represents 30% of employees on the basis of two days a week,” she detailed.

"In October, about 50% of employees in areas where the virus is actively circulating - that is to say, where there is a curfew - were teleworking," said the minister.

“We encourage companies to develop it as much as possible (…).

If we can reduce interactions, it must be done and teleworking can make it possible, ”she said.
