In total, 2,761 people were hospitalized in intensive care on Monday for a current capacity of around 5,800 beds.

357 new serious cases linked to the coronavirus having been admitted to these services in the last 24 hours, a figure that had not been reached since April, according to Public Health France.

The public authorities intend to increase the number of beds in power in the coming days.

In addition, 2,314 new Covid-19 patients have been hospitalized in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of hospitalizations in the country to 17,761.

Other indicators such as the number of deaths, new contaminations or the positivity rate, were not available early Monday evening.

The day before, France had broken a new record with more than 50,000 positive cases confirmed in 24 hours.
