The reporter learned from the Kunming Fire Rescue Detachment that the smoke in the subway station was caused by a fire at the construction site of the North Railway Station of Kunming Metro Line 5. As of now, no casualties have been reported.
At 10:36 on October 26, the command center of the Kunming Fire Rescue Detachment received an alarm that the subway line 5 of the North Railway Station was on fire at the construction site.
After receiving the police, the command center immediately dispatched rescue forces to the scene for disposal and initiated the detachment full-time command procedure.
The fire rescue force arrived at the scene and found that the open flame at the scene had been extinguished by subway staff, and there were no casualties.
It is understood that the scene was a fire in the power distribution cabinet in the rail under construction at the North Railway Station of Metro Line 5, covering an area of about 1 square meter.
At present, the investigation of the cause of the accident and the verification of property losses are being carried out in an orderly manner.
