According to Kofu City, the newly confirmed infection was a male office worker in his 40s who lived in Tokyo and visited the prefecture for work.
The man visited the prefecture on the 22nd and was asked by his place of work to undergo a PCR test at a medical institution in the city, where infection was confirmed.
The man was asymptomatic and returned to his home in Tokyo on the 22nd, but in the prefecture, he took measures such as using the railroad and bus, and wearing a mask when he met a person at work. So far, there are no close contacts in the prefecture.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the prefecture to 203.
