WhatsApp enters the world of “payments” ... a revolutionary new update

Facebook announced yesterday the launch of a revolutionary update on its popular instant messaging application, WhatsApp, which includes providing purchases and hosting services through it.

With the new change, WhatsApp will allow companies to sell their products from within it via the Facebook Store via the Internet, a service that was launched in May with the aim of providing a unified shopping experience across all Facebook applications, according to the agency. Reuters

The update also enables WhatsApp to enter the cloud computing sector, which will provide companies that use customer service messaging tools the ability to store those messages on Facebook's servers.

And the Chief Operations Officer of WhatsApp, Matt Idema, announced in an interview that the shopping tool will start appearing on the application during the current year, while the messaging service will be available next year 2021.

Idema stressed that "Facebook" will not use the data of messages hosted on its servers for other commercial purposes.

He pointed out that there are more than 175 million people daily interacting with the business through "WhatsApp", which encouraged the application management to launch the new hosting service.

Facebook is seeking with this modernizing revolution on the WhatsApp application to increase its sales through it, after it bought it in 2014 for $ 19 billion, but it was slow to generate income for the largest social network in the world.
