On the occasion of its 30 years, Télécâble Sat Hebdo unveils, in partnership with Europe 1, an Ipsos Sopra-Steria survey on the relationship of the French to the small screen since 1990. The magazine reveals Monday which are the favorite TV shows of the country.

And it is Koh Lanta which comes at the top of the favorite shows of the French over the last thirty years.

The adventure reality TV show dominates a very diverse podium, since the parody program Les Nuls, the show comes second, ahead of Nagui and Taratata's house concerts.

The rest of the ranking gives pride of place to reality TV shows, which represent a third of the thirty favorite shows of the French.

Among the best ranked, we find Apartment or House Search (4th), Amour est dans le pré (6th), Beijing Express (7th) and Top Chef (10th).

1990s, a more diverse TV?

It's the decade of immortal broadcasts.

Among the favorite shows of the 1990s, it is the one hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault and then Camille Combal, Who wants to win millions, which comes first (30.6% of the votes).

A success particularly due to the votes of women and over 60s.

It is closely followed by Fort Boyard (30.3%), then Dummies, the show (25.5%), the only podium program to no longer be on the air, only broadcast from 1990 to 1992.

The top of the ranking is like this podium: variegated.

The talk show Null Else is fourth, followed by the Taratata music show and Bigdil games.

The surprise comes from Vivement dimanche, an immortal who arrives only 11th, and is not even on the podium of the over 60 years.

Very present in the list of choices, the programs of testimonies and talk (It's my choice, It is discussed, Everyone talks about it) occupy especially the second half of the classification. 

The advent of reality TV in the 2000s

With the 2000s comes a revolution: reality TV.

This new type of program thus trusts the podium of the programs launched between 2000 and 2010. Koh-Lanta comes in first.

Denis Brogniart's adventure show is number one in all categories of the population, except for those over 60.

Next comes Love is in the meadow, carried by the vote of women and 30-60 year olds, then in third place Pékin Express, especially popular among those under 30, and to a lesser extent among women. 

The show that launched the format in France, Loft Story, however, comes last in the ranking, with 6.7% of the votes.

It should be noted that the two fine performances of programs which have now disappeared: Le maillon weak and Le grand journal, respectively 4th and 5th, with 3 points ahead of Star Ac, 6th in the standings. 

TV from the 2010s, an indoor TV

The decade 2010-2020 has given Stéphane Plaza a big lead and his Apartment or House Search.

The show comes first, putting 9 points in view at the second and third, The Voice and Les 12 coups de midi.

The coronation of Searching for an apartment or a house is all the more obvious as the program is acclaimed by all categories of populations, with the exception of those under 30 who do not even put it on their podium. 

Beyond the coronation of the real estate show, the top of the emissions ranking for the 2010s mainly focuses on a central room of the house: the kitchen.

We thus find neck and neck Top chef (4th, 19.7%), Cauchemar en cuisine (5th, 19.6%), The best pastry chef (7th 18.3%) and, lower, Master Chef ( 12th, 11.6%).
