Pope Francis has supported gay marriage.

This sounds loud as a title, but, in fact, it fits perfectly into the bosom of the external activities of the Catholic Church and the famous humble pope in particular.

What did His Holiness say?

“Homosexuals have the right to a family.

They are children of God.

We need civil union laws to protect their rights. ”

What is in this statement contrary to church doctrine?

Homosexuals, of course, are children of God - just as God's creation is absolutely everything that lives on Earth.

Do homosexuals have a right to a family?

Like most people, homosexuals come from their parents' families and later found their families, whether in the legal framework or outside it.

After all, millions of people live without a passport stamp and consider themselves family.

Are Civil Union Laws Needed?

Apparently needed.

Two people live together, trust each other, take care of each other, and then one is not allowed to the other in intensive care only on the grounds that they are of the same sex.

Let me remind you that husband and wife are considered close relatives by law.

But, let's say, friends in the legal sense are no one to each other.

Pay attention, the pontiff said nothing about church unions.

Negative attitudes towards homosexuality on the part of traditional churches stems from several biblical stories.

Let's remember the two most famous ones.

The Book of Genesis speaks of the two godless cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.

There was a lot of lewdness going on there, but the Lord decided not to burn these cities for sodomy, the point of no return for the townspeople was their intention to collectively abuse God's angels, who, as we understand, have no sex.

In other words, generalized violence and generalized depravity were a sin here.

The second most frequently mentioned moment related to homosexuality is found in the First Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians - “Do not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor malaky, nor sodomy, nor thieves, nor covetous people, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor will the predators inherit the kingdom of God. "

Here, of course, if you do not go into the intricacies of the translation, but there is an opinion that they did not mean exactly sodomites, but simply feminine men, everything is already pretty straightforward.

But it should be noted that along with homosexuals, here in the Kingdom of God malaki is denied, that is, those who engage in masturbation, as well as drunkards and foul language.

Whether all these categories really cannot dwell in paradise, we do not know.

But do secular, and even ecclesiastical, authorities deny marriage registration to drunkards or lovers of strong words?

No, they do not refuse, although, as we see, from an apostolic standpoint, all these categories are equally displeasing to God.

Which way is the church going?

The Church is moving along the path of accepting reality - that is, the path of least resistance, the path most popular.

The church in the post-secular world gets tired of fighting with what has become a fact, and this fact accepts.

Once it was impossible to imagine that a person could receive any worthy secular position without providing a certificate of confession and regular communion signed by his confessor.

But somehow the labor market gradually grew, the influence of the church weakened, employers decided that such certificates were not needed, because they did not guarantee anything, and the church had forgotten about them.

It was once believed that not only the Pope is completely inviolable, but everything connected with him.

The greatest honor is to touch his slippers with your lips!

And in 2013, during a papal sermon at St. Peter's Basilica, a small dark-skinned boy came out on stage, began to walk around the podium, sat on the Papal See, hugged Pope by the leg, and brought his girlfriend to the stage.

And nothing - Francis stroked the heads of the children, the result is a touching picture.

But not because historically it is customary in the church to somehow treat children especially well - oh no, 300 years ago these children would have been flogged, and their parents would have been anathematized, but now is not the time, the church understands this, now the child is publicly you won't give me a cuff.

Now a touching picture in world publications is more expensive than foundations.

Which in some cases is fully consistent with common sense.

Indeed, what is wrong with children on stage?

That's about the same it stretches through the opened window and everything else.

They chose Joseph Ratzinger as dad, they look - he does not pull.

Painfully gloomy, stern, unsmiling.

Good dad, but a century for the 16th.

Changed to Francis - it!

Lights up, refuses everything, walks almost on foot, flies in the economy, eats pizza in the square, takes pictures with pleasure.

The ideal hero of our time.

At the same time, of course, we do not forget about the Pope's mission, within the framework of which he promotes peace and prosperity throughout the Earth.

But do not forget that already in the first years of imminence, three documentaries and two feature films were shot about the most modest and delicate dad in history.

Actually, Francis made his statement about the need to introduce a norm regulating homosexual unions at the premiere of a film about him - "Francesco".

The ideal picture is that a pop star speaks out loudly on a hot topic in front of a crowd of fans.

Smiles, camera flashes, loud headlines, heated public discussions.

But what are these discussions about?

That the 2000-year-old institute is trying to keep up with the modern agenda.

And then what is the mission of this church?

Is it to be the shepherd leading the flock to salvation, or is it just to pat the flock approvingly on the head wherever it goes?
