Jean Castex announced at a press conference this Friday that the police had made 56 home visits and 27 arrests following reports of online content, after the Conflans attack.

"123 home visits have been decided and 56 have already been carried out," said the Prime Minister.

“1,279 reports to the Pharos platform, a specialized service responsible for collecting illegal reports on the Internet, led to 27 arrests,” he added.

An offense punishable by 7 years in prison

This vast control operation had been announced by the Elysee.

It targets people who have publicly supported the terrorist on social networks who murdered the history professor in Conflans a week ago.

“Since Friday, Pharos (the reporting platform) has identified 80 messages that support the attacker's action,” the presidency said.

This support for Abdoullakh Anzorov, an 18-year-old Chechen boy, is considered by law to be an apology for terrorism.

When done publicly on the Internet, the offense is punishable by 7 years imprisonment and a 100,000 euros fine.
