The US Department of Justice is not ruling out "dismantling" Google because of its intrusiveness

In the largest antitrust case in three decades, US justice officials have sued internet giant Google, accusing it of forcing consumers to use its products and hurting other search companies.

The US Department of Justice has filed an antitrust lawsuit against Google, owned by Alphabet Group, accusing the $ 1 trillion company of using its market power to deter competitors.

The ministry has not ruled out anything, including the division of the company.

The lawsuit alleges that Google acted illegally to maintain its position in internet search advertising and activities.

"Without a court order, Google will continue to implement its non-competitive strategy, obstructing the competition process, reducing consumer choices and undermining innovation," the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit, in which 11 states participated, pointed out that Google has nearly 90% of all public inquiries on search engines in the United States, and about 95% of searches via phones.

The complaint accuses Google, in particular, of forcing consumers and advertisers to use its search engine on mobile devices equipped with the "Android" system, through applications that are impossible to delete, which leads to a significant reduction in competition.

When asked during a conference call about the specific procedure that should be taken, an official at the Ministry of Justice said, "Nothing is excluded, but it is better for the court to take over the issue of solutions after giving it the opportunity to hear all the evidence."

The lawsuit also stated, "Google has now become the undisputed gateway to the Internet for billions of users around the world..for the interests of American consumers, advertisers and all companies that currently rely on the Internet economy, it is time to confront Google's non-competitive behavior and restore competition."

The lawsuit continued: "It is consumers and advertisers who will ultimately suffer from the lack of options, the lack of innovations, and the absence of competitive advertising rates ... Therefore, we ask the court to end Google's control over the distribution of search until competition and innovation take hold."

Google described the lawsuit as "deeply flawed," adding that people "use Google because they chose to do so, not because they were forced to do so or because they could not find alternatives."

She said she would issue a "full statement" later today.

The US Department of Justice calls for "structural" changes to Google, which may indicate the possibility of dismantling parts of the giant company in the field of Internet search engines.

Like its competitors, "Amazon", "Facebook" and Apple, "Google" finds itself in the crosshairs of the American authorities for several years. The authorities have launched investigations for some time against these companies known as "GAVA", and the results of the investigations concluded that there is monopoly and competition Dishonest.

In 2018, the European competition authorities imposed a record fine on Google of 4.3 billion euros after it was accused of illegal practices on the level of the Android system to strengthen its dominant position.
