After resigning nearly a year ago, Saad Hariri was again appointed Prime Minister of Lebanon on Thursday (October 22) to form a government, the presidency reported after binding parliamentary consultations by the head of state. Michel Aoun.
He was chosen by a majority of 65 deputies, according to a statement read at a press conference by a senior presidential official.
Saad Hariri had resigned almost a year ago to the day under the pressure of an unprecedented popular uprising and will have to tackle the formation of a new government team in a Lebanon in the midst of economic collapse.
