As a measure to prevent the infection of the new coronavirus, an experiment was conducted in Otsu City to disinfect the spectators' seats in the athletics stadium using a drone.

In this experiment, Otsu City, which develops a business utilizing drones, aims to investigate the placement of workers required to disinfect the spectators' seats in a short time using drones to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection. The company did it.

The drone was equipped with a sprayer that could hold 10 liters of chemicals, and at the main stand of the "Ojiyama Sports Park Athletics Stadium," I went back and forth about 2 meters from the chair to work.

In the experiment on the 22nd, water was used instead of the disinfectant because there were users of the stadium, and the disinfection work of about 3000 spectators' seats was carried out in about 30 minutes.

This company believes that if the outdoor event venue can be disinfected efficiently in a short time, it will lead to the holding of large-scale events, and we will continue to experiment and aim for practical use.

Mr. Yasushi Furukawa said, "Using a drone will improve efficiency at once. I want to make sure how much disinfection can actually be done."
