Good news for you: Disney has officially confirmed the sequel to Ron Howard's fantasy film as a series.

The program will be intended for airing on Disney +, the Hollywood giant's streaming service, and directed (for the pilot anyway) by Jon M. Chu, director of

Crazy Rich Asians

.

Ron Howard will return as producer, while film star Warwick Davis will reprise the role of Willow Ufgood, more than 22 years after the original.

Exciting project

However, it is not known whether Val Kilmer, who played the Madmartigan warrior in the original film, will be present in the continuation of the adventures of the Nelwyn turned hero.
