According to the police, after 7:30 pm on the 21st, residents reported to the fire department that "smoke is coming out from the first floor of the building" in Shinnakazato, Chuo-ku, Saitama City.
Twenty fire trucks came out to extinguish the fire, and the fire was almost extinguished about four hours later, but the two-family house was completely destroyed.
All the houses are made of wooden two-story and three-story buildings, and the two-story building has Mr. Sadahiro Kobayashi (84) and his wife, 86, and the three-story building has Mr. Kobayashi.
