In the evening of October 20th, the reporter drove to this community in the southern suburbs of Changsha to find out.
Due to the large area of the residential area, the reporter inquired in various places in the Tongshenghu Villa Community, and finally found a row of abandoned villas.
The gates of the villa yard are either locked by rusty chains, or blocked by shrubs, weeds and waste. The buildings are rough houses, most of which have no doors or windows, and only reserved installation places.

Now behind me is this "unclaimed" villa area in Tongsheng Lake, Changsha City. The reporter has just passed by and discovered that most of the villas are three to four stories high. The courtyard is overgrown with weeds, and then inside the room. It was pitch black, and some balconies were even covered with moss.
[Explanation] Tongshenghu Villa Community, which opened in 2000, is located in Yuhua District, Changsha City. It is built on 600 acres of Tongsheng Lake. It was once known as the best villa development in Changsha and even Hunan.
Its developer Wang Zhonghe was arrested by the Changsha police in 2019 for gang-related crimes.
According to a video posted on Douyin by the owner of the community and a well-known local comedian in Hunan, Dabing said that there are more than 70 villas and more than 60 bungalows in the Tongshenghu community that are unclaimed. Of the claimed villas, 25 have no information about the owner at all. The remaining part is only the owner's name or phone number, but most of them are wrong or empty numbers. The other party also indicated that they are not their own properties if they can get through."
In response to this, on the evening of the 20th, the official Weibo of the Propaganda Department of the Yuhua District Committee of the Communist Party of China in Changsha City announced that the Tongshenghu Community Neighborhood Committee assisted the property company in actively contacting the owners. At present, 66 villa owners have been contacted.
In the later period, the neighborhood committee will assist the property company to strengthen the maintenance of the community’s infrastructure, improve the environmental sanitation of the community, and continue to assist the property company to contact all owners as soon as possible.
