The Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Uffizi Gallery will exhibit collections of artworks from October 23 this year to February next year. Open to the public on the 24th.

  According to the organizer’s introduction on the 21st, as one of the projects celebrating the cultural exchange between China and Italy this year, "Botticelli and His Extraordinary Time and Space-Uffizi Gallery Collection Exhibition", 42 pieces provided by the Uffizi Gallery The collection related to Botticelli, the representative artist of the early Renaissance, is the largest exhibition related to it in Hong Kong history.

  According to Hu Peishan, director of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the exhibition mainly uses the works of Botticelli himself, his teachers, students and other followers to introduce him and the artistic and cultural characteristics of that era in a three-dimensional and comprehensive manner.

  It is reported that the most important work in the exhibition is Botticelli's "Three Kingdoms of the Pilgrimage". This painting has pushed Botticelli to the pinnacle of his artistic reputation due to its clever composition and vivid character design.

  Eike D Schmidt, the director of the Uffizi Gallery, expressed in Italy online that he was very happy and looked forward to the exhibition of the Uffizi Gallery's collection in Hong Kong.

He said that the cultural and commercial exchanges between China and the West have a long history, and he hopes that these more than 40 famous paintings can vividly tell the story of the Renaissance and attract every Chinese visitor.

  The exhibition was co-organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Events and Tourism, co-organized by the Italian Consulate General in Hong Kong and the Chinese Italian Cultural Association, and supported by the Cultural Office of the Italian Consulate General.
