This Wednesday, October 21, the French will pay a national tribute to Samuel Paty, the history and geography professor assassinated last Friday by an Islamist.

In Africa, in the Sahelian zone, this tribute has a particular echo: teachers have been targeted by Islamist groups for several years now, and the situation is worsening.

The Burkinabè trade unionist Souleymane Badiel, secretary general of F-SYNTER, the Federation of National Unions of Education and Research Workers, is our guest.
