[Explanation] On October 21, the 19th China International Toys and Educational Equipment Exhibition kicked off in Shanghai.

This exhibition brings together nearly 5,000 brands from over 2,500 companies in the toy industry at home and abroad.

In addition to toy products, the entire industry chain categories including toy production raw materials, packaging equipment and design services are also exhibited, showing new trends and trends in the development of the industry.

Liang Mei, president of the China Toys and Baby Products Association, said in an interview that after experiencing the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the monthly export volume of traditional Chinese toys has "turned from negative to positive" from the second half of the year, and the cumulative exports in the first three quarters are close to 2019. The level of the same period of the year, the fourth quarter is expected to continue to maintain growth.

We (exhibition) were originally the largest and second in the world in Asia, but since the epidemic, toys and licensing including exhibitions, we are the only one in the world to reopen such a large-scale (exhibition).

In terms of exports, this year is actually affected by the epidemic, that is, the first quarter has the greatest impact, but if the third quarter starts in July, we have already turned positive, and exports are already growing positively, so the entire third quarter reached 9.6% year-on-year increase.

I think that in the fourth quarter, our exports will still be a peak, because all foreign (sales), toys are the most important sales season in time for Christmas.

[Explanation] Liang Mei said that in 2020, affected by the epidemic, it is not that smart toys equipped with VR, Internet of Things, and cloud technologies are the most popular among children and parents, but the demand for handmade and educational toys has increased significantly.

Chinese toy companies are also actively "seeking opportunities in crisis" to expand the market.

The first and second quarters have changed a lot. That is to say, because we can’t face each other together, this kind of building blocks that can be played with parents and children at home, or this kind of game toys that can be played at home is relatively more popular. welcome.

I think that after the epidemic is over, I personally think there is a trend in China this year, whether it is toys or baby products. Because of the national trend (popular), many of our toy and baby products companies choose to cooperate with Guochao IP , So this is a new trend this year.

[Explanation] Liang Mei believes that in addition to price advantages, China’s toy manufacturing industry is stronger in the industry chain. From raw materials to accessories to products, including product quality inspection and production efficiency, it is very strong, so the industry is comprehensive international competition The force is still strong.
